FUN AT WORK ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve the Service:

• Email Address: Collected when you sign up via Supabase authentication (magic link). We use this solely for account creation, login, and passwordless authentication.
• Learning Progress Data: Includes XP points, levels, streaks, badges earned, riddles solved, domain progress, and daily mission completion. This is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our secure backend.
• Device Information: Basic app settings (dark mode preference, onboarding state, tutorial seen status) stored locally via SharedPreferences.
• AI Interaction Data: Topic/domain preferences and riddle/story requests sent to third-party AI providers (Groq and Moonshot AI) to generate personalized content. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the Service (authentication, progress tracking, gamification).
• To personalize your learning experience (AI-generated riddles and stories).
• To sync your progress across devices via Supabase.
• To improve app functionality and user experience.
• To communicate critical service updates (rare, via email only when necessary).

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following trusted service providers:

• Supabase: Used for authentication (email magic links) and cloud database storage for progress syncing. Their privacy practices are governed by Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Groq API & DeepSeek: Used to generate educational riddles and stories. Only anonymous domain/topic preferences are sent — never your email, name, or personal identifiers.
• Analytics (PostHog - optional): Anonymous usage statistics to help us understand app performance. No personal identifiers are sent.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Progress data and preferences are stored securely on your device using SharedPreferences.
• Cloud Storage: When authenticated, your progress is synced to Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest).
• Row Level Security (RLS): Your data in Supabase is protected by RLS policies, ensuring only you can access your own records.
• We implement reasonable security measures, but no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

• Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active.
• Local Data: Retained until you uninstall the app or reset progress.
• AI Request Logs: Third-party AI providers may retain anonymous request logs per their own retention policies. We do not control these.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access & Export: Use the "Export My Data" feature in Settings to download your learning progress (JSON format).
• Delete Account & All Data: You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This includes your Supabase auth account, all cloud-synced progress (XP, levels, streaks, badges, riddles solved), and local device data. To request deletion, email contact@funat.work with subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address. We verify identity and complete deletion within 7 business days.
• Delete Data Without Deleting Account: You may request deletion of specific or all learning progress data while keeping your account active. Use "Reset All Progress" in Settings for immediate local deletion, or email contact@funat.work with subject "Data Deletion Request" to also clear cloud-synced data.
• Opt-out: You can use the app in demo/guest mode without providing an email, though progress will only be stored locally and cannot be synced across devices.
• Cookie/Tracking: We do not use tracking cookies. The app uses only essential local storage for functionality.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us to request deletion.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
